An Invitation to Alberta Chef Educator's
9th Annual Gingerbread Competition

Date: Saturday, December 5, 2009
Time: Entries received until noon, Saturday, December 5, 2009
Judging: To take palce between noon and 1pm
Entry Fee: All entries must be accompanied by a door prize. All
contestants will receive a door prize.

Contest rules:
1. Secondary and Post-Secondary Levels: The base must be made out of
wood and cannot exceed 20 X 20 inches...no restrictation on theme.
2. All building materials, except the base platform, must be made of
edible materials. No plastic Santa's or other inedible decorations., etc.
3. All houses are individual effort only. Group houses are welcomed but
will be exempt from judging and medals.
4. Entry Categories: Grand Prize Medals awarded in each of three
categories:
1. Secondary Student Culinary
2. Post Secondary and Apprentice Culinary
3. Professional Culinary...no size restriction
5. Secondary Students: There will be medals awarded for Most Festive and
Best Use of Gingerbread.
6. All entries become the property of the Alberta Chef Educators
Association.
7. All entered houses will be raffled off at $25 per ticket.

• Meals will be provided for contestants, coaches and chaperones.

• Please note that ALL FUNDS RAISED will go to the Alberta Chef
Educator's Association Culinary Scholarship Fund
This fund had 2 recipients in 2009.
